About me

I am a PhD student in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in my second year of PhD studies at the Department of Computer Science, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (DIMES) of the University of Calabria. I am also a member of the Scalable Computing and Cloud Laboratory (SCALab) at DIMES, where I contribute to research and development projects. Previously, I was a research fellow from January to November 2021 at DIMES, working on a research project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program, titled “ASPIDE – exAScale ProgramIng models for extreme Data procEssing”. Since 2022, I have been a contract professor at the DIMES Department.

Research in a nutshell

My current research focuses on big data analysis, parallel and distributed computing for high-performance environments, machine learning and data mining, and cloud and edge computing.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from DIMES in 2018 and my Master’s degree in Computer Engineering (Big Data Analytics and Data Science) from DIMES in 2020. During my studies, I acquired expertise in a range of areas, including distributed systems and cloud computing, data mining and machine learning, social network analysis, process mining, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence. These skills have equipped me with a strong foundation for my current research and teaching activities.
